True Collaborative Fashion is a Portland based showroom that represents independent fashion designers with a conscience.

Where a product is made, who makes it and what it is made from matter.

We are not out to save the world, we just like working with companies that try to do things a little better.

We look for lines that strive to create a modern style and aesthetic, rather then trendy throwaway fashion.

We like lines that manufacture locally in sweatshop free shops with fair labor practices, use environmentally friendly materials, when available, and help build communities through locally owned small business.

Style, color, fit and quality are still the most important elements of fashion for our designers.

By choosing to bring their beautiful designs to life in a conscientious way, the designers are showing that you can be fashion forward and responsible at the same time.

All of our clothing lines are sweatshop free. All of them are made in North America, within minutes of the designers studio.

Whenever possible, 100% organic cotton, hemp, bamboo and “rescued” overrun fabrics are used to ease the burden on the environment. Other fabrics used are all natural fabrics - domestic cottons, silks, charmeuse, and wool.

We are also proud to represent Melissa shoes from Brazil. Cruelty free high-tech recyclable plastic shoes made in the south of Brazil by a socially responsible company.

The makers of Melissa recycle 99.9% of all factory waste and water, pay high wages and benefits, and recycle overstock into the new season.

Located on the Wildwood trail in the Hoyt Arboretum, the showroom takes advantage of the natural beauty of Portland’s west hills. In our effort to do a little better, our showroom is powered by 100% renewable wind energy and travel by biodiesel.

We offer responsible coverage of the West Coast for independent designers with a conscience.
